Stains from beauty care products can cause worry. Will they ever come out? Luckily, getting clothes
clean is what we do here at Drop and Dash Laundry Service. There’s no need to fear. While we can’t
promise that you can rescue every article of clothing from stains due to your personal care routine,
there’s a pretty good chance that, using some of these tips, you can remove these stubborn stains and
dress proudly for work or a night on the town.

Remove Stains from Deodorant

Underarm deodorant from a stick or a spray can leave your clothes’ pits chalky or greasy. Try this to get
rid of these stains:

  1. Pretreat the stain.
  2. Wash it in the hottest water that’s safe for the fabric.
  3. Use bleach, if appropriate.
  4. If the fabric has discoloration treat the affected area with ammonia or vinegar.
  5. Rinse completely and wash again in hot water.

Remove Stains from Perfume or Cologne

Smelling sweet might also mean spots on your clothes from your perfume or cologne. Do this:

  1. Sponge the area immediately with cold water. Alternatively, you can submerge the article of
    clothing in cold water.
  2. Pretreat the stain.
  3. Wash it with bleach (if appropriate) and the hottest water possible that’s safe for the fabric.

Remove Stains from Nail Polish

While you’re fancying up your nails, you might accidentally spill or spatter some of that color on your
clothes. Follow these steps:

  1. Place the stain face down on paper towels.
  2. Dab the area with a sponge and nail polish remover.
  3. Rinse once the stain is removed.
  4. Wash in the hottest water that’s safe for the fabric.

*Note: Do NOT use nail polish remover on acetate or Arnel fabrics. Dryclean instead!

Remove Stains from Makeup and Cosmetics

Concealer, mascara, lipstick, eye liner, and blush can each leave very noticeable marks on your clothes if
you aren’t careful. Take these steps to do your best to remove these tough stains:

  1. Pretreat the stain.
  2. Wash it in the hottest water that’s safe for the fabric.
  3. Use chlorine bleach if it’s safe for the fabric.
  4. If a great spot is still present, soak the garment with warm water and a pretreat product.
  5. Rinse complete and wash again in hot water.
